The compression of the scrotum amplifies many of the benefits drawn from the practice of testicular breathing, which we have already presented.
This exercise reduces the risk of premature ejaculation, frequent nightly pollutions, hernia, calms your nerves, reduces stress and sexual excitation and helps you re-direct the surplus of energy from the pelvic level.
It also awakens your sexual power through the absorption and accumulation of energy from the very air (vayu tattva).
Amongst the three positions indicated in "Testicular Breathing" articles, we prefer the sitting and the standing position.
Inhale deeply, leading the energy down to the solar plexus. From Manipura Chakra (located two finger-widths under the navel, in the solar plexus) lead the energy to the testicles. You can achieve this by contracting the abdominal muscles and rolling them down in a slight movement.
Now take the energy from the solar plexus (Manipura Chakra) and "compress" it into your testicles. When reaching this stage, you will notice a sensation of warmth that seems to make the testicles swell.
After a while, you will notice the energy moving towards the area of the head, where you will feel the sensation of warmth again.
HOW TO DO IT
1. Sit on a chair, feet on the floor, spread at a distance equal to the width of the shoulders. Wear comfortable clothes or no clothes at all, so that the testicles hang freely.
2. Inhale through the nose leading the energy to the solar plexus (Manipura chakra), and from here even further, to the pelvis and the scrotum.
3. After the energy has descended to the solar plexus, "roll" it downwards to the penis and testicles.
4. "Compress" the energy into the scrotum, and hold your breath with your lungs filled with air. The minimum interval for each such compression should be of approximately thirty to forty seconds. In time you will be able to extend this interval to one minute or even more, for each "compression".
THE SCROTUM COMPRESSION TECHNIQUE
1. Choose your favorite position.
2. Breathe slowly through the nose, focusing in the throat area. Compress the breath in the throat until you finish inhaling.
3. Inhale forcibly and retain your breath as if you had a balloon in the area of the solar plexus.
4. Push this balloon downwards, to the pelvic area.
5. While you retain your breath, with your lungs filled with air, continue pushing this balloon forcibly towards the scrotum.
6. Exhale through the nose and take a break.
7. Relax, and rotate your torso several times.
8. Repeat this technique five times, then gradually increase the number until reaching 36.
9. Keep your tongue stuck to your palate.
In the following, we shall present an exercise for lowering high blood pressure that may occur after two to six weeks of practice of the "compression of the scrotum" technique.
Some practitioners with high blood pressure will notice an abundant flux of energy in the area of the head.
If your level of blood pressure is high, and you did not practice asana's or the yogic relaxation, which help in the even distribution of energy, you may focus your attention on two points to reduce this excess of pressure.
To locate these two points, we recommend the following. For the navel point wrap a string or a belt around your waist, perfectly horizontal.
The point is located at the intersection between the belt and the spine. If you bend over, this point can be felt as the space between the two vertebrae.
The sole-point is located like this: contract your soles, and determine the "deepest" point on their surface. After you discovered the sole-points, stick two small balls on them, as big as beans, put your hands behind your back and focus on these points.
Thus, the vital energy will be led to this area. After you feel the energy accumulated in the navel point, lead it down through the spine, to the points in the soles. Press the soles on the balls so that you perceive these points as clearly as possible.
Sometimes it may take up to two months until you are capable of accumulating energy in the spine-point and directing it to the soles-points. Nonetheless, persistent practice is the key.
RECOMMENDATIONS
1. Do not lie back while performing these techniques because an intense energy flow may cause you serious discomfort in the chest area.
2. Do not lie on your left side during practice, because this position favors the accumulation of the energy in the heart area and brings too much energy here.
3. Do not place any object under your spine, because this will obstruct the energy flow, curve your back and hurt your spine.
If any of the aforementioned problems should appear, perform the yogic relaxation right away, and you will notice that any discomfort or pain you might have had will disappear in less than a week.
4. Practice these techniques on an empty stomach, or if you ate wait at least one hour before proceeding.
5. Wear comfortable clothes or wrap yourself in a blanket. If you perform the exercises correctly, you will sweat and it is important that you do not catch a cold afterwards. After practice, change your clothes. Keep the room tidy and ventilated.
6. After five compressions of the scrotum sweat will appear on your forehead. Use this sweat and rub it on your skin.
7. Do not breathe through the mouth during the exercise. Your control of the energy is better if you breathe through the nose, as this facilitates the absorption of the prana.
8. Do not allow yourself to feel discouraged if the effects fail to appear during the first days of practice. The energy channels from the testicle area need a certain time to become "functional".
9. You need to have intense mental focus. Avoid mental agitation and do not follow any images and thoughts that may come to you. Simply let them go, and maintain your focus.
Empty the vessel of your mind of all thoughts, so that you may fill it with energy. Your mental power will develop proportionally with your practice.
10. During this practice close your eyes and follow the path of the energy in your mind. This may sound difficult, but you will be amazed at how easily you will be able to perceive your own energy. When you experience these inner energies it will be a lot easier to direct them.
11. Those who suffer from constipation should practice in the morning, the regular time of intestinal activity. These exercises will also act as a remedy for this problem.
12. In order for the method to be effective, you should not ejaculate for at least thirty days.
We recommend that you extend this interval of non-ejaculating indefinitely, and practice sexual continence, because this will prove to be of great help on your spiritual path, and in your spiritual development.
If you continue to ejaculate, your progress will be hindered and delayed. Learn how to sacrifice the pleasure of ejaculation for greater and more important pleasures, which you can't even imagine yet.
When you are able to perform these exercises correctly, it will be easier for you to retain your seed during lovemaking.
>h3>PURIFYING EFFECTS OF BREATHING INTO THE SCROTUM
1. Those who practice these methods will gradually but certainly amplify their inner fire, also improving their digestion.
2. If you had some sexually-transmitted diseases, make sure you are completely healed before starting this practice. Otherwise, the pain you will experience will be excruciating.
3. Due to these practices, some people may notice a greater quantity of intestinal gas, and they may need to evacuate their intestines two or three times a day.
In this manner, the body uses its newly acquired resources for complete purification, in entirely natural ways. These unusual symptoms usually disappear in one or two months at the most.
4. This purification is followed by a better regulated digestion, as well as a sensation of vigor and purity. Saliva becomes clear and sweeter, and you will notice an increase in the vital energy at the level of your intestines.
CONCLUSIONS
Although these techniques seem simple, they are quite effective if you desire to increase your vital energy and to control your sexual energy.
However, you have to sacrifice your time in order to gain the benefits of these techniques. Remember that a gram of practice is worth tones of theory.
Even if modern life spares us just a little time you have to be willing to sacrifice this time in order to perform these techniques and gain the benefits.
Once they become part of your daily routine, by practicing them as soon as you get up, the results will definitely amaze you. The energy will start to ascend, activating your charkas.
The secret alchemic agent one should use in their spiritual development is your sexual "essence" (semen). This "essence" was used in both Taoist and Tantric traditions, and without it nobody may attain a superior level in their inner alchemy.
The correct mastering of testicular breathing and scrotal compression, is essential before beginning a love-relationship with a woman, who may dominate you both sexually and spiritually.
Your sexual energy is the elixir of life and the fountain of your youth. Therefore, it is worth guarding carefully.
